Clarissa Yelei, pronounced “yeh-lay," is a Ghanaian-American writer whose work explores language, identity, place, and belonging. Her work centers the quiet tensions of diaspora and the emotional landscapes of family, often through the lens of womanhood and generational memory. Her writing has appeared in or is forthcoming in African Voices Magazine, Radiant Health Magazine, and Callaloo. Her work has been supported by Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Kenyon Review Workshop, and Bread Loaf Writers Workshop.
